what a little cutie he is!!! so glad i could do him justice!!! Toad is a kitty Mommy Nessa had (a stray i took in already pregnant) that i adopted out to a friend, who in turn handed him over to the SPCA, where he was most likely put down because he was sick :( I LOVED - LOVE this cat so much and miss him dearly! but at the time, i had 12 cats and I couldn't possibly take care of them all....so Toad, Toadette, Koopa, Blooper, Yoshi, and Mommy Nessa herself were adopted out to friends. Peach and Shy Guy i kept :)

any hoo, Toadstool in all his cuteness can be purchased for a mere 1.50 at my store HERE

since my computer decided to try and update firefox while i was in the process of working on a new tube and i had to force quit everything and restart, thought id take a break and give you a little preview of my next tube!

(i snapped a screen shot while everything was frozen and it actually saved!) and thank god i had been saving as i went!! had gotten all the colors down as you can see, and just finished the eyes...all that was left was to blend the fur and nose

this one is of my 2nd furbaby, Orange Cat, aka Pudgie :)

i chose to make his fur a little more orange as his name is Orange Cat, lol and also changed his eyes from kinda yellow green to just green as the yellow green looked like piss, lol.

when i finally get gimp up and running again and finish him up, he will be avaliable for purchase via email for 1.50

it will be a full body cat, tail and all, lol...and all these hard lines will be smoothed out like the eyes are

venting about things

this is a 2 in one vent, lol arent you lucky!!

so may have noticed my blog looks like shit due to photobucket bandwith being exceeded. well i did a trialpay offer for netflix to get a free pro account, and it said confirmation was instant. well instant to trialpay apparently means 3-5 days. they are claiming they havent gotten confirmation from netflix, but when i called netflix they said they sent it out right away...who to believe...i believe netflix personally...so trialpay sucks and i will never use them again

righto, used to be a part of this forum called the taggers lounge. the girl who runs it goes by rosey. she wanted me to be a co owner, and i said yes. she didnt tell me til afterwards that being a co owner of her fourm meant i wasnt allowed to be staff of any forum ever. right...so this caused a lot of drama because i was co owner of another forum and those girls got into it over me! ended up staying with taggers lounge for a month before i realized that even tho i was a "co owner" i wasnt allowed to do anything but take orders from queen rosey. so quit that and started my own forum back up with a new name and with great friends as co owners who are allowed to do whatever they want, cus they are my equals, not subservient! so month or 2 passes and she wants me back...says this time i can keep my forum open and staff positions elsewhere, but not to tell anyone about it. so i stupidly agree, and im back being told what to do, being demanded to post in every member's mail box daily and play stupid forum games daily. not being allowed to share my ideas and god forbid i had a contradicting thought to dear queen rosey's. i dont know why but i put up with this abuse for a few more months until just last week when she crazily decides, "you know what, im going to charge people 5 dollars to join my fourm" WTF!?!?! rude, wrong, and just illegal! at this point i try to tell her that this is illegal, and she gets mad at me for disagreeing with her! its not an opinion, its a fact! so i left, & took my good friends with me. took everything i had ever done for the site and put it right here for you all to grab free of charge. after various tube licensing companies contacted her informing her of her illegal actions, she claimed she had no knowledge that what she was doing was wrong, even though i had told her the day before. before i left i also noticed that she had demoted one of the other co owners who told her this to just a regular member...she is a very vindictive person and god forbid you dont agree with her on everything, and bow down to her each and every whim! so i just wanted to put this out there for those of you looking for forums to join, dont join the taggers lounge unless you want to be surrounded by fake people who will turn on you in an instant!

Template Making in Gimp

we are going to be making a template
yay template!!!

first start off with a new canvas 600x600

create a new transparent layer

grab either the rectangle or circle tool and draw out your main shape
i chose circle

fill with a shade of grey

create a new transparent layer below your layer with the shape on it

grow your selection by 10 or something and fill with another shade of grey for a border

create a new transparent layer above your main shape layer

draw out another smaller shape

move it to your liking, you may want to use the rotate tool a bit

add a border in the same fashion as before. you may want to duplicate this bit and mirror

now we are going to add some shapes behind the main one
make a new layer behind your border layer

draw out a smaller shape and fill with a shade of grey

you may want to add noise to some layers
do this by going to filters, noise, hsv noise and apply with the two bottom options set at max

add some text on top. be careful which fonts you use because not all can be used for templates

save as a .psd

and you're done! yay! now you know how to make templates!!!!

adding premade animations to tags

this is the tag we are going to make

supplies:

Gimp
texture or paper of choice

tube of choice

animation of choice

lets get started:

make your tag the way you want it and merge down all layers

add the name at the end if you want to offer it

open your animation as a new layer

move each layer of the animation where you want to place it, being careful that all layers are lined up correctly

duplicate your tag layer for each frame of your animation and move each one below an animation frame

merge each animation layer down to your tag layer

now on your top layer make your text and text border and merge them down

duplicate this as many times as you have a tag layer and merge each one down separately

save as .gif & remember to click save as animation

& tada! you are done!

Winking Sig Tutorial

this is a pretty simple animation in gimp. you just gotta remember to merge the proper frames and save as animation.

supplies needed:

GiMP

& Tube of choice. i am using one of Ismael Rac's fabulous tubes. do not use without a license! you can obtain one from his store here: www.xeracx.net

to get started open up a new canvas 600x250 whatever color doesnt matter

fill the background with a gradient of choice

now open up your tube and position it where desired

now duplicate your tube layer 2x

zoom in like 400%

close out the top layer

grab a color from above the eye, like the eyeshadow and use your small circle brush tool to fill in half of the eye on your second layer

now open up the top layer and have it selected and fill in the entire eye

now duplicate your second tube layer and move it to the top of your layers

merge down only the bottom tube layer to your background

check in playback to make sure it is animating correctly

now you will want to add a border, cus everything looks better with a border, lol

add a new layer, black or whatever color you wish

go to select by color

click somewhere on this new layer

go to select again and shrink selection

shrink by 5 or whatever you think looks good and cut

duplicate your new border layer 3x and move each one above your existing layers

merge each one down individually to your tube and background layers

you should now have 4 layers total

add your copyright above your background layer

merge down

now add your text or name or whatever above your background layer

merge down

go to play back to check if it is animating correctly.

if it is go to save as

save as .gif

remember to click on save as an animation!

it will ask you to crop, do so

and then it will ask you how many milliseconds per frame, i went with 300 but it is up to you

and tada! you are done!

Rippiling Forum Set Tutorial

here is a preview of what we will be making:

supplies needed:
Gimp
tube and close up of choice i am using one from Ismael Rac which you need a license for. you can get the tube and license at his store www.xeracx.net
font of choice - i am using Waltograph

lets get started:
the siggy:
open up a new canvas 600x250
fill with black
open up your tube as a new layer and position where liked
select a color from your tube using the color picker keeping black as your background color
on your background layer use the gradient tool set on radial and pull out from the center creating an orb
now go to filters, light and shadow, and select super nova
use the preset settings and place your supernova in the center of your background
now open up your close up above the background layer, behind your tube
set the opacity to 50%
merge your close up with the background layer
now having the background layer selected go to filters, animations, waves
use the preset settings and select ok
this should open up a new image file with the waves
above your tube layer open up a new layer using the color you selected from your tube
select by color
go to select, shrink
shrink by 4
cut
this should leave you a nice border
now you can choose to go to filters, noise, and select HSV noise and make your border sparkly
merge your border layer and your tube layer
add your text and copy right information
merge that all down to your tube/border layer
now the tricky part
duplicate your top layer (should include text, tube, border, and copyright info)
move it down so it is above your second frame
repeat until there is one of these layers above every frame layer
merge each one down to the frame layer separately
go to filters, animation, playback to make sure it is animating properly
if it is, go to save as
save as .gif
make sure to click save as animation!
it will probably ask you to crop after that, so crop and save

now the aviator:
open up a new canvas 150x150
open up your tube
position where liked
make a border by opening up a new layer the color you had picked from your tube
select by color shrink selection by 4
cut
and if you want the sparkles go to filters, noise, and HSV noise
add your name and the copyright info
save as .png

and you're done!

lets begin:
open up a new canvas 600x600
open as layers cluster frame 5
scale down so it fits on your canvas
open up paper 16 as layers below your cluster frame
fit layer to canvas size
now with your path tool trace around the top frame
select from path
select invert
cut
now open up paper 17
layer to image size
with your path tool again trace around the second frame
select from path
select invert
cut
open up paper 18
layer to image size
use the path tool to trace around the 3rd frame
select from path
select invert
cut
open paper 15
layer to image size
use the path tool once again to trace around the last frame
select from path
select invert
cut
open up glitterrainshadowed resize and place below your cluster frame
do this for each frame, resizing and rotating as needed
now open up your tube and place to the right hand side of your frame
below the cluster frame open up your close up
mirror
use the path tool to select around the top and bottom left frames
select from path
select invert
cut
now add some elements from the kit to your liking
i used glitterheartcharm4, ribbonbuckle2 and wrappedheart
delete your background layer
add a drop shadow to the cluster frame and your tube if you'd like
add your name and copyright infos
save as .png and you're done!

its officially 2011! 1 year till the end of the world, lol....i sure hope not. im enjoying life too much right now!
dont really have much to say only i hope you are having fun celebrating and that you're staying safe! safety is key!

Purple Xmas tutorial

Supplies:

Gimp

tube of choice, i am using one from Ismael Rac which you can get at his site here

Tina's A Misfit Xmas kit which you can get here

to start, open a new project 700x750

open up lights frame 1

add a drop shadow

open up paper 5 beneth the lights frame

use the path tool to create a path around the frame

select from path, select invert, and cut

your background should now fit inside of the frame

above the paper layer and below the frame layer open up bling tree 1 and center

open up reindeer teddy and resize to your liking and place on the bottom left hand side of your frame

add a drop shadow

open up glass candle 1 and resize to your liking

add to bottom left of the frame and add a drop shadow (see preview for placement)

open up decoration 1 and resize to your liking

place on the upper right hand side of the frame and add a drop shadow

open berries and place above decoration 1 and add a drop shadow

go to your bottom layer and open up snowflake 2 and resize so that it fits around the frame like mine

now above your bling tree layer, add your tube of choice

add your copyright information and your name and you're done!

for this tutorial you will need the following:
GiMP www.gimp.org
tube of choice - i am using the work of Joel Adams which you can get from CILM
Kristen's template # 17 which you can get here: http://toxicdesirez.blogspot.com/
and my Christmas scrap kit which you can get if you are a member of Taggers Anonymous: http://taggersanon.aforumfree.com/

open up a new canvas 600x600
open up the template as a new layer
above the bottom layer open up paper3 from the kit
select by color the bottom layer of the template
go back to the paper layer and select invert and cut
your paper should now fit the bottom template layer
now open up paper 5
place it above the second layer of the template (the brackets)
select by color the brackets
go back to the paper layer, select invert and cut
add a drop shadow to this by going to filters, lighting effects and selecting drop shadow
above the heart layer open up paper 6
select the heart by color
go back to paper 6, select invert and cut
add a drop shadow to this layer as well
open up swirl 3
resize so that it is approximately the same size as the bottom layer of the template and place it as shown in the preview
now open up bow1 and resize so it fits in the template
next open up your tube and resize if needed and place in the center of the template
now add your text
"reindeer games" is in Inspiration font at size 63 in #61854a
select path from text
open up a new layer below your text layer and go to select from path
select grow, set it to 3px and fill with #c4beae
"can get a little" is in Jack Bisio same color as "reindeer games"
repeat the select path from text but to grow and fill
"Rough" is in Janis
repeat the select path from text to grow and fill
add your copyright layer
add your name and you're done!

My first Gimp Tutorial - easy forum set

here is a preview of what you will be creating:

now for the tut:

the siggy
open up a new canvas, 600x250
flood with black
then open up your tube of choice
i used one from Ismael Rac which you can purchase at his store, www.xeracx.net
place it somewhere in the center
duplicate your tube twice and mirror one
place those copies of your tube on either side of the center tube
merge them together (the two on the sides, not the center)
set the opacity to 50%
now go back to your background layer
go to filters, light and shadow, and select super nova
set the random hue at about 150
move it to the center
now add your border
you do this by adding a new layer in black or your choice
go to select by color, click on your new layer
go to select, shrink, and shrink by 5
then cut and you should now have a border around your tag
go to the top layer and add your text
i used American Highway at 63
add your copyright layer
and you're done with the siggy, now on to the avitar

the avitar
open a new canvas, 150x150
flood with black
add your tube somewhere off to the right or left
go back to the background layer and select from filters the supernova
use the same settings as before but make sure to place it behind your tube, either off to the right or left depending on where you placed your tube
now add a border
make a new layer in black or your choice
go to select by color, click on your new layer
go to select, shrink, and shrink by 5
now add your text
i used American Highway again but this time in 16
now use the rotate tool to rotate your text 90 degrees
move your text layer so that it is on the opposite side of your tube
add your copyright layer
and you have just made a forum set!!

ive decided to go ahead and open up my wicked scrap kit next since it seems to be most popular and well i want yall to be happy so here it is!!!
